Summary
A growing Midwest multi‐state collections law firm is actively seeking a Collections
Manager to assist the Director of Operations. The position provides front‐line supervision
of Collection Supervisors and their Collections teams (approximately 18 indirect and
direct reports). Additionally, the Manager is responsible for ensuring that all collections
activities completed by the team are compliant with company policies, applicable state
and federal regulations. The Manager is responsible for actively speaking with consumers,
monitoring calls and providing on‐the‐job training and development of direct reports.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Coordinate with the Director of Operations to establish workflows for the team.
Lead, manage and train collection teams including managers, supervisors and team members.
Mentor, coach and develop the collection management team to ensure operational excellence.
Develop strategies to enhance collection production.
Design and implement process improvements to increase performance and minimize risk.
Collaborate with Director of Operations regarding decisions on operational activities and
strategic goal setting.
Realign work queues to align the workflow set for each team.
Review results of call monitoring with staff to ensure compliant effective collection calls.
Actively participate in interviews and selection of qualified applicants.
Provide orientation to job, team and commission structure for new hires.

Additional Responsibilities & Duties:
Review statistics with Director of Operations to identify any necessary plan of correction.
Assist the Compliance Supervisor with call audits and inform the staff of results and
requirements for improvement.
Review monthly performance reports, develop strategies for identifying areas of under
producing segments of the portfolio and focus recovery efforts among the staff.
Partner with the Collection Supervisors and/or Leads to deliver collector refresher training.
Ensure all accounts are worked timely and accurately.

Skills/Requirements
Educational Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Business or Finance (High School
Diploma or GED plus additional collections experience accepted in lieu of college degree)
Experience Requirements:
Specific knowledge and experience within the collections community.
Effective knowledge and working experience with skip tracing and previous work
experience with a collections law firm is a plus.
5+ years of front-line collections experience.
5+ years of supervisory experience in a consumer collections environment.
Be willing to relocate to Midwest to corporate office.

Proven ability to design and communicate daily workflows and heavy inbound campaigns
to the team.
Continuous, effective team leadership skills with proven track record of success.
Ability to teach and effectively motivate others.
Current knowledge of client rules and collections industry regulations.
