RMA Member,

The auto loan market has seen significant growth in recent years. Many RMA members have started to take advantage of the business opportunities available in the auto loan market, as debt sales and third-party collection services are a considerable part of non-prime auto financing. Bringing together representatives from these industries to mingle with executives of the financing industry has proven to be beneficial to both groups. New deals are made and existing relationships are strengthened when debt buyers participate.

RMA members interested in learning more about this market are encouraged to attend the Non-Prime Auto Financing Conference, in Texas, May 31 to June 2. Mark Naiman, President of RMA, Jan Stieger, Executive Director of RMA, and Mark Villarreal, Director of Vendor Management at Exetor Finance Corp., will participate in a discussion on the partnership between a debt buyer and a debt seller. Both sides will offer insights on what went as planned, obstacles encountered, and how the transaction ultimately progressed. The remainder of the conference will be devoted to significant issues faced by the auto financing industry, including collection liability for the originating creditor when collections are outsourced and when debt is sold.
