Long-time industry contributor Patricia “Trish” Baxter, Esq. passed away on May 19, 2017. At the time of her death she was working for PRA Group, Inc. as Counsel-Insolvency Services. Prior to joining PRA Group, Inc. she had been a sole practitioner representing clients in the accounts receivables management industry on regulatory compliance and litigation matters. She served as General Counsel for Collins Financial Services and Paragon Way in Austin, Texas. Trish was also General Counsel for Unifund in Cincinnati, Ohio. Trish received a B.A. and an M.B.A. from National University of San Diego and earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University.

Trish was active with DBA International (now Receivables Management Association International) and served on the Ethics, Conference, and State Legislative Committees, as well as the Bylaws, Policies, and Procedures Committee. In addition to her committee roles, she served on the Board of Directors for three years.

“All of us who worked with her are grateful for all she did,” said current RMA President Mark Naiman. “Trish will be remembered for her support and willingness to share. She was also an excellent instructor and even instituted a Jeopardy!-format session to liven up compliance programs at the Executive Summit.”

A service will be held on Monday, July 10, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Austin, Texas.
